The project has hit the ground running with a number of activities having already kicked-off for the year. Geotechnical investigations commenced last month onsite, while the board has already met for its first meeting of 2021. The project continues to work productively with Southern Downs Regional Council (SDRC) and the Queensland and Federal Governments, and we are continuing to work with landholders in and around the dam site and pipeline corridor.
Engineering company, GHD Group, have begun geotechnical investigations at the Emu Swamp Dam site. These investigations will give the project a thorough understanding of what lies beneath the surface of the site before construction begins. The GHD team is staying in the Granite Belt while the work is completed.
